Associate Therapist
If you’re unhappy, feel like something is missing, or want something more, you are not alone. Many people feel blocked from joy for a variety of reasons, from challenging memories of the past to pressures of present culture. In therapy, we work together to examine barriers to joy and take specific, tangible steps to overcome them. I’m Nick, a San-Diego based Associate Therapist at PsyNamic. I received my bachelors and Masters in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. I also received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. I help people with general life stressors chronic and acute trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, gain insight, awareness and internal peace. I support a range of people including men and women, couples and adolescents. I enjoy helping with mens issues as well as supporting gender-affirming treatment. I believe you are more than a disorder or mental health condition, and I am here to help you restore a sense of harmony and purpose. In session, I utilize modalities such as CBT, Mindfulness-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, and pull from EFT and the Gottman Method when working with couples. Outside of therapy work, I enjoy surfing, playing guitar, plant-based foods, and hiking with my Australian Kelpie.
