Michael Gross, AMFT

Associate Therapist

I am an Associate Therapist and have provided support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families from diverse backgrounds. A significant part of my work has focused on adolescents and young adults who have experienced domestic violence and sex trafficking. In these roles, I have supported clients as they navigate the impacts of complex trauma, helping them build safety, resilience, and a sense of control over their own lives.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solution- focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and narrative therapy. I believe healing happens when clients feel empowered and understood, so I integrate these modalities in a flexible and collaborative way. Treatment is always tailored to the individual, honoring their
strengths, cultural background, and personal goals rather than relying on rigid or prescriptive methods.

As a mature female clinician, I bring both life experience and empathy into the therapeutic space. I returned to school later in life, which gives me a personal understanding of what it means to start over, face uncertainty, and pursue growth during times of transition. I am deeply passionate about helping people feel genuinely heard and seen—something many individuals have never experienced while simply trying to meet their most basic needs. Creating a safe,
respectful space where clients feel valued is at the core of my work.
